My obsession with filming, editing and posting almost everything I do continues to rule my life. The latest despatch from my daily comings and goings is from our recent trip to the Spitalfields City Farm in Hackney, just behind 93 Feet East which is most odd. A farm, with real, live animals just two minutes from Brick Lane!? I wouldn't believe it if I hadn't seen it myself.
The plan was to go and see the sheep shearers giving the sheep their annual trim but our timing was all off and we managed to just miss one shearing and the next wasn't for an hour so we just wandered around the farm, looked at all the animals, watched the knitters, weavers and spinners and mourned the loss of Itchy the pig.
The video below shows the highlights of the day or you can watch it on my Vimeo page. I've even be kind enough to send it on to the farm to see if they want to use it on their website so here's hoping. And yes, it does feel a bit strange being a young(ish) man standing alone filming other peoples children playing with hay bails.
