Being the neat and tidiness freak that I am and always insisting on things being lined up and organised symmetrically wherever possible I was overjoyed when Kate's sister Charlotte pointed me in the direction of the Things Organised Neatly website. An image archive dedicated to the weird and wonderful practice of organising things in the neatest possible way - an OCD sufferers paradise.
After several weeks spent browsing the archives I've seen some impressive feats of organisation featuring everything from shoes and cutlery to mobile phones and wool. Some of the images on display are more art installation than amateur tidiness which irks me a little. Neatness in the name of art is not the same as organising your shopping at Sainsbury's into a perfect rectangle just to amuse yourself whilst waiting to be served.
As with all the niche sites like these that lie hidden in the corners of the interweb I couldn't help wondering 'why the hell didn't I think of this!?'. I was born to be the curator of a project like this. I wonder if they'd be annoyed if I set up a Things Neatly Organised competitor site?
