Call me childish, call me nostalgic, call me a dreamer but I love this set of images by Tim MacPherson - another FFFFOUND! discovery. They made me think of the stuff me and my siblings used to get up to during wet bank holiday weekends when I was a young sparrow hawk.
You can't help but admire the amount of imagination that's gone into each photograph - yes I am ignoring the fact that the kids don't look too happy about it all - and at first glance the motorbike image (pictured) appears quite realistic, it was only when I looked closer I noticed that the wheels are a little like baskets and the chain guard is a tennis racquet and the headlight is an angle poise lamp and then you realise the whole scene is composed of household objects. Genius!
Sadly I'm too old now to get away with stuff like this without being sectioned but there's a bank-holiday weekend coming up and I don't have that much planned so...maybe, just maybe.
