We went to see Toy Story 3 with Jack and Rachel yesterday at the Wood Green Cineworld multiplex. I'd watched the trailers, read all the excellent reviews and was amazed that Rotten Tomatoes had given something 99% so arrived well prepared and excited. The reviews you've read are right, it's the best of the three and the comment in Culture was spot on too, it does 'make grown men cry'. I'm not ashamed. There wasn't a dry eye in the house, even Kate cried and she usually keeps her composure whilst I'm sobbing like a pathetic baby.
On Saturday night we helped Stefania warm her new house. By that I don't mean we installed a boiler and central heating system, she had a house warming party. Sadly we couldn't stay too long because we needed to be up bright and early the next day but we had fun and scored well at impromptu blackboard Pictionary.
As Autumn/Winter is rapidly approaching and all the shops are having sales I took advantage of Topman's only to be sent the wrong pair of trousers. Twice. I'm not impressed. Not one bit. After calling their customer services department tonight from my office phone - always embarrassing because I know everyone is sat listening and thinking 'what an idiot, what kind of man needs trousers with double pleat details and engineered darts?'. I have to call again tomorrow to speak to a buyer because apparently they have two products with the same code. The life of a fussy sartorialist is never easy.
