Since the sad demise of the now legendary Rainbow Value afternoon sessions down at 93 Feet East there's been a yawning gap in London's clubbing landscape. Fortunately that gap has now been filled by the latest brainchild of Gavin, Jack, Jimmy and Steve: Video Clash.
The launch night took place last Friday at The Star of Bethnal Green and was really well attended, only enough room to throw the smallest of shapes at most points, but don't just take my word for it, check out David Sutheran's photos from the night over on Flickr.
With Gavin filling the Tony Wilson role of promoter/visionary the others are left to share the DJing duties with a music policy that spans house, garage, techno and acid old and new. The only downside to what was an excellent party was the 2am license that meant we all got kicked out before we were ready to call it a night.
Plans are already afoot to organise the next night so if you find yourself in East London one weekend and see lots of these pasted around the area follow the instructions and head over to The Star of Bethnal Green.
